Cheap electric propagators
« on: January 13, 2008, 18:57 »
Just looked on www.tamarorganics.co.uk where I get my seeds from and if you go to the miscellaneous section then bargain basement they're doing propagators for £5, plus 95p delivery (which appears I got free as I've ordered a few things).  I've just ordered another one, can't believe I just paid £14 plus £5 delivery from Ebay and thought I got a bargain!

I'm sure it will as you don't have to order anything else, though not sure you'll get free postage, it should have told you at the check out.

Glad to be of service, just hope it's good (don't shout at me if it's rubbish, I have this knack you see of thinking something's a bargain when it isn't!) - I thought at first it might be a tiny one, but it looks like it's bigger than the one I bought for £19.

A bit late now, but I was going to tell you how I do it.

I have an oil-filled radiator in the loft which we use for emergencies.  I set up a table in front of the back room window and then put the seed trays on top.  The table warms up and gently heats the trays.  It works well because I can have it on all night (on a low temperature) without having to have the whole central heating system on.

On top of that I balance my mini-greenhouse shelf (without the plastic cover).

Then in March I pack it all away.

Got one too. A bargain not to be missed if you don't have one already.

Let us know what they're like.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
