Look what I found this morning .....




The chicken that laid it does tend to lay slightly smaller eggs than the others but NOT THIS SMALL!!!!!!!  :shock:  :shock:

Could we eat it?  It looks really weird & v. dark but is perfectly formed.

With those bits of straw it looks like a mouse eating cheese.

It does happen Fifi, maybe one of the smaller eggs on the line broke away and got delivered instead of the normal one?

sorry I am just a newbie.  
I would one put it in a glass of water to see if it is off and if it isnt I would crack that baby open in a separate bowl to any others and see.  If it smells ok eat it.

i had a  teeny weeny egg like this from my maran just after she came back into lay form being  broody. i just laffed and asked the chooks whos idea of a joke it was..... had 3 sizes of eggs the teeny one a normal one and the whoppers my  ex batts lay lol never heard it called a witches egg before tho.
