I did!

Set them up for chitting now, plant at the same time.

The forum English to Hungarian translator is not working well!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Sowed some broad beans in pots and put them in the greenhouse to germinate.

Watched the snow melting. But its gone cold now.

I managed to plant gooseberry and tayberry bushes today. Not much else at it was freezing. Bought a ph soil test kit today so anxious to find out what is going on with the soil.
Dig it!!!! ♥♥ :)

I moved all the wood, canes and chicken wire etc from behind the partition at the back of the plot. As we aren't allowed sheds I'm using this space as a storage area, so cleared it ready for a storage box, dalek compost bin and water barrel.
It was too cold to do anything else today.

Took a car load of spent compost to the plot that I found flytipped in a gateway on a country lane. This is exactly the same stuff that I found in an adjoining gateway a year ago. Obviously the same person, thanks very much. I shall be checking the same road in twelve months. Now I just need to go back and bag up the rest before someone else spots it.

Picked some purple sprouting, dug unprotected carrots and parsnips.

Aquadulce broad beans look like they`ve had it, the stems have gone black.

Observed one old boy, at least 70 years, attempting to rotavate his plot. What is the obsession on our site with rotavating during the winter?
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

Not today but on Monday I finished filling the bean trench with compost, covered it over and stood back to admire something done at last.

Added two bags of well rotted horse manure to the blackberries and had a general tidy up.

Peace and quiet – not another soul about just me and a robin.
Chilly!!!
