I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms I haven't been able to get there since Saturday!

Me too! I am going tomorrow whatever the weather is doing! :)

Went up straight after work, I finished early today and it looks jusy like a Lido. All that hard work on my main plot looks ruined at the moment :(

Went to take a pic for my blog, I knew it would be too wet to do anything.

When over to my plot this morning, found that my aquadulce broad beans have started to sprout nicely...so when back home grab the balance aquadulce bb and planted them all...in the rain. Then covered them up in cloch. I will now have a row of about 50 - 60 plants if all of them survive this winter!

Planted up my parents back garden with some rather lovely wallflower plants lifted from my plot last week-end.

Did the front garden earlier in the week.  :)

Oh yes I sleep - usually between about 5am and 10am as well as often with my eyes open.

Looking after my parents whose needs are increasing means I have less sleep especially when our two part-time PAs are on holiday or ill. I miss their two 90 minute visits at the moment.  :(

Bought guttering to put up. Almost got blowed away by the wind, gave up as the shed overhang is too big for the guttering, need to make some spacers.

Hubby and I braved the weather, with children in tow, and joined in on a working party to start clearing the brambles around the hazel coppice.  The coppice has barely been touched in ten years

There were a few brave souls who pitched in, I can't admit to being one of the most productive as the children kept us too preoccupied to really offer lots of help, but I think the soup and rolls I brought along were appreciated!

Just recovering from the dreaded Norovirus so no work today.
So i thought i,d cheer myself up and get some fresh air by walking down to the plot.
Now last time i was there a week ago i had very healthy winter onions ( red and white) already 6-7 inches high, garlic at about 4-5 inches high, winter caulis, purple sprouting brocolli, several types of winter cabbages, etc. All looking great.

Today all underwater! AGAIN! GRRR!

I,m beginning to wonder why i bother!

After a 3 year wait i finally have my allotment. HELP! (2/10/11)

Finally got my new plot last week. It's overgrown big time so just dug three spud beds for now.

Went today and planted a hawthorn row along the back fence which is a bit battered. Should help keep the vandals out.

 You poor thing! My ground is sodden, but no surface water. Let's hope that they are right and we get a few dry days so that it can all drain away. :(

I think the best thing to do when the ground is so very wet is nothing but relax and dream of drier times.

Our clay soil garden beds are squelching as is one of my plots; the new clay one.

My dad's old plot remains workable - all I need is a dry enough day and the time to get there.
