I will post pics when done, it looks great in my mind but we will see when I've finished!!
Look forward to that!

I had a fire! Burnt loads of woody stems from the rasps and blackberries.  I get a slight attack of pyromania after 1st November, because we aren't allowed to have fires until then. (Ours is an urban site, and the neighbouring houses very selfishly object to being full of smoke every time they open a window in the summer.)
I have just acquired a incinerator bin and its brilliant! I never manage to keep an ordinary fire going for longer than 10 mins.  There must be a knack to it but I haven't got it.

Angela I am so sorry, that is just crazy, it was only a couple of days ago. Is your site open for anyone to get in? I would really want to know who was doing it, twice in a few days is jst awful. >:(

It does have gates that are supposed to be locked but to be honest, I could climb over them (and am wimpy when it comes to climbing over gates and railings as I have short legs!)  My shed is overlooked from all angles by the surrounding houses, so I thought mine would stand more chance of being left alone but clearly not!
Hi Angela, could some fund raising or an approach to the council be made for better gates? If it is becoming a constant problem something needs to be done.
Leelee - I too would love to see some pictures when you are done. I love to see all the creative things other plot holders do. :)

What I did on the plot yesterday was:

visit for the first time in a month!

brought the BN squash home from the shed, lifted carrots and leeks then did double-time digging - a whole 2 hours worth so it looks as if someone cares......

......I do and would love to have time to get there more often but...

Nothing doing for me today  :( need to do a whole load of digging, but the lottie is just so wet. Managed to extract a couple of parsnips and came home.
Optimism probably a gardeners best tool.

Cleared up a bit of redundant fencing. Too wet to dig.

Watered the two apple trees I planted yesterday (Oops! forgot yesterday, woke up in the middle of the night, remembering)
made a bean trench, but didn't close it because the cardboard was too tough and sticking up too much. A damp night might soften it.

Manured and added compost to beds (not both in the same beds ....... Or maybe I should have) and covered with black plastic for the winter.
Finished laying slab paths. Recycling old slabs from home on weed control membrane with fine layer of sand under each slab so they don't wobble. looking good if I say so myself.
Couldn't dig as too wet.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

not at the plot, but the disintegrating wooden barrel with the rhubarb in it was dismantled and the rhubarb transplanted into the front garden, there were a few spare roots which i just planted along with the rest - well you never know I may get lucky.

I covered over the bean trench, I was right, the wet night fettled the cardboard.
Dug over a bed and discovered lots of little seedlings, Oh, just remembered I sowed some winter tares and vetch there about a month ago! Oops again. Ah well, all extra roughage  I suppose. I wasn't really expecting them to germinate this late in the year, so forgot about them.
Weeded round the winter onions with my new onion hoe.  Worked really well.
