Another glorious day! What could be better than a day spent on the plot. It was so peaceful. I cleared the final bean wigwam and dug the leaves and lots of cardboard into a big trench, which I then covered and that is where I will grow next years courgettes. Built a new bean wigwam ready for next year, on the trench I filled in, in this years strawberry bed. Trimmed more leaves from the courgettes, which are still flowering and producing fruit (six today!). I noticed where I had cut the old mildewy leaves the plants have produced new, lush green leaves and more flowers. Planted a few foxgloves by the front fence. Filled the water butts while there is still water on. Weeded the whole plot. Put up a hazel arch over front gate, this looks very 'rustic' but I am thrilled with it. Wigwams and arches, what else can be be built with sticks and string I wonder?! Dug over the patch where my fruit trees are/will be, again. Trying to remove every last trace of weed roots ready for my wild flowers next year which will be the under planting for the trees. Today was an absolute joy. :)

:( Went to the plot to take the runner bean frame down, but couldn't get near because of the mini lakes everywhere.  I hadn't realised it had rained so much during the night so I hadn't put my wellies on.
At least my plan worked, putting the potatoes in bags on the paved area, I could dig some out no problem.  :)

Quick visit this glorious morning to deliver some manure and bagged top soil to the plots and check out the new quarter plot I have just taken over.

My little boy is very pleased we have another shed.  He was chuffed to bits to find a wheelbarrow and two children's chairs in the shed waiting for him!

Took a few pics for the diary on here and put some bagged grass clippings on the new plot ready to start building up some lasagne beds for overwintering.

Will be returning tomorrow for lots of hard work!

Took out all the begonias from the boarder at home .
Leveled the bed and put in 80 winter pansies . Lovely sunny day
Overcast by tea time with a heavy shower just after I watered the plant in.

What a fan-flipping-tastic day it was today in the Fens. Clear blue sky, gorgeous sunshine for most the day.

Weeded
Cleared: Squash Plants, Tomato Plants, French Beans
French Beans hung in the shed for next years seed.
Cauliflowers leaves bent over the heads to protect them and help stop them bolting.
More weeding.
Windrow compost started.
Kale cleaned and tidied, a bit raggedy not having harvested for a while.
2 beds turned over ready for next year.

Blooming good day all in all.

OH and myself spent 4 great hours down at the plot.

Cleared the french beans.  Thinned the late carrots.  Picked a few toms and cukes that are still in the PT.  Picked a massive bunch of Dahlias and Chrystimums.

OH built two raised beds and filled with manure.

We then spent 10 minutes watch a lovely little mouse climbing up and down my sweetcorn helping himself to the ripening corn.  I tried to get a picture of him but he scampered off before I could take one.

Hi, all the family spent the day on the plots in glorious sunshine.

We started work on the new plot (37) - clearing an old herb bed and planting up a comfrey bed in its place and forking over a couple of beds that were existing, topping off with cardboard and grass clippings.

I took some soil samples of the new beds and planted up some salads under cloches on the other plot (39).

The children played happily in their new shed.
