I think I can just see the first signs of my saffron crocus' coming through :).

I'm dead jealous Ann, I have planted two batches of these in years gone by and haven't had any luck at all with them.

Planted spring cabbage  also some of the garlic.
Netted over the cabbages to keep the wood pigeons off.
A bit of a tidy up as the leaves are starting to fall from the trees at the top of my plot.

  Well they are not flowering yet! And compared to how many I planted I had been expecting more by now! I have just a couple poking green shoots through (in my herb bed), but unfortunately while trying to clear the raspberry bed, I dug up several of the bulbs (instantly replanted). I could see that they had put out lots of roots and had some underground growth towards the surface, so I am hopeful for them. To be honest I have never done very well with any flower bulbs - I think the squirrels get them! :(

Enjoying the sun: cut the grass, gathered logs from the outdoor uncovered and covered piles into the interim log store and indoor rack - a shunt around basically. :D Did some weeding and harvesting.

Had a happy time with bits of wood arranging beds and paths.
Cut down the thornless blackberry old wood.
Going back this afternoon to take out the sweet corn stalks and prepare a bed for my garlic.

A dry day in Newcastle then.  ;)

Planted two apple trees on the plot. Forgot to buy tree stakes. Will get them tomorrow.
Cut the grass in the back garden which is still very wet but it's the last cut until the spring.

Planted the strawberries, dug up some pink fir apples, brought a blue pumpkin home to ripen it and picked some
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Buried quite a lot of this seasons growth and then went of on one with committee matters.

Staked the apple trees, took down the sweet pea wigwam and tidied up a raised bed. Several plot holders down at the site today. More time was spent chatting than working :)

Another fine day in Newcastle!  So more messing about with planks and paths.

Rootled around in the potato growbag and amazingly found some potatoes!  Just dug up enough for a boiling and hope the rest will be okay in the compost for a while.  Got more in these few than my whole earlier crop that got drowned.
 :)
