Only managed a quick session of clearing up in the greenhouse and the raised beds at home before the rain set in.  Greenhouse has gone from chaos back to order  :)  Just a few chilli plants left now and some late seedlings.

I potted on 70 trailing viola and left them to chill in the greenhouse. Too wet for anything else today.

Installed mesh tunnel over new brassica bed.
Transplanted cauli, cabbage, red kale.
Picked runner beans and 1 or 2 french beans
Picked spring (?) cabbage.
Got given some asparagus peas!!?
Dug some ditches, hopefully to lower the water table on my plot.

Well I didn't do this today as it's pouring with rain and there's a GP on the TV (!) but the other day I got my new grow-tunel up and friday I was seiveing the soil in the grow-tunnel beds as I put in up in the stoniest part of my plot!

I went up after work to just have a look. Wish I had not bothered, The Runner Bean 'Wig Wams' are close to the horizontal as is the Sweetcorn.

well some work arrived late yesterday, so I was working until 9 am, then a quick dash to the plot to get 3 large takeaway containers of raspberries. good job too as it has been torrential here this afternoon.
the raspberries have paid for the cost of the plot on their own - we have had several hauls of over 1kg at a time, plum and raspberry jam, apple and raspberry jam and several puddings have resulted

Digging, weeding, generally clearing up for winter. A very satisfying morning, especially as it was dry and it is raining now.

I took up the kitchen peelings and last weeks lawn clippings for the compost and picked some raspberries and brought back some of the bigger squash, covered the rest with fleece.

In the garden I picked a few more green tomatoes and cut down some more of the tomato plants in the greenhouse, watered all the over-winter stuff that is still in modules, got indoors just before the rain started ;)

Pricked out 104 pansies into modules and 83 digitalis.  Not sure what I'm going to do with all that lot.  Siome for the perennial border and perhaps the foxgloves for the orchard.

Paddled around my raised beds, opening channels to let water out.
Reinstalled my mesh tunnel over the new brassica bed....
Reassembled the runner bean A frame, still some beans left so worth keeping them going for a little while longer
Picked some ready washed rasps.

Too wet to work on my plots as well. So just harvested the last of my carrots and turnips and a couple of patty pan squash and a courgette.
