Took my first ever potato crop out of the container last night and was pleasantly surprised.

From 4 plants I got around 5 and a half pounds. (Had it running through my head that I would find next to nothing)

I feel that I would have got a better crop if I hadn't just rushed in without planning.

Got some in a pan now for the great taste test.............hurry up and boil!!!

You might have something of a problem finding suitable seed potatoes to plant right now, I'm afraid.

I've lifted two roots of first earlies (Aran Pilot) so far for an average yield of 2lb 2oz, which I'm happy with.

Lots of places online are selling seed potatoes now for Christmas harvest.

Scratch that... I lifted an extaordinary root this afternoon - 5lb exactly!!!
