hatching duck with damaged beak
« on: November 15, 2011, 22:50 »
Hi can anyone help me?
We have just had 12 ducks hatch, one of which we had to break out in the end.
It seems fine but has a slightly damaged beak on one side.
Does anybody know what this could be?

Sorry I don't know. If it is unable to feed or drink properly the kindest thing would be to destroy it. However, it may manage fine. Hopefully someone who does know may be along shortly :)

could you post a photo on here so we can see just how bad it is? Without seeing it nobody can make a decision, however like Sassy said if the duckling can eat and drink ok then it should grow up ok  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.
