Today, I beat the weather!

Being absolutely sick of the non stop rain we are having, I decided that the rain was not going to stop me getting my spuds in the ground, so that's just what I did! Albeit by the end I was soaked and the place had turned into a mud bath but it could have been worse.  :?

Potato - Maris piper (7) desiree (7).

Can I ask how long your rows are?
I could only manage a single 14 foot row in my veg patch, I'd have liked to have done many more, but we lack space.

Potato rows are 17 feet, 15 earlies, or 10 second earlies a row

the onion rows are about 12 feet, about 50 sets per row, I plan to take every other one out when they are big enough to eat and then let the others get bigger

My rows are 12 foot long.  they could be 15 fot if I'd not decided to fence it off to keep small people enclosed, the plot shared a path with next door before that but with the fence I now need my own path next to the fence.

very pleased with my work today.  satyed home and worked in the garden.  dug over and raked a 30x 3 foot border and planted a load of bulbs and perrenial plants before the rain started and bub cried for dinner.  no time to cover it though so am hoping my cats stay off it (and pigs might fly!!).
