A week and a half ago I planted some pink fir apples which hadn't even started chitting and they have already started showing - I am amazed.  I would just bung them in and let them grow!
I get my kicks on Plot 66!

Pink Firs are well known for their reluctance to chit. Mine also got planted practically chitless, but the haulms are now as high as the chitted Charlotte next to them.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Size of seed, beyond a certain limit, does not matter. Pink firs are not bakers even when mature, I'd plant them all, Nathan, unless marble sized.
