Hello everyone!

We're going out shopping in anticipation of the ladies arrival on Sunday. I've noted that we need to get some anti pest stuff in, but I had no idea there is so much to choose from! I've read a really helpful post on here that says quite a bit about the different types, but I was hoping if someone could please give me advice on benefits of powder vs spray, and what you use personally and find to be helpful as a preventative?

I use fronline spray - this is not licensed for poultry so my vet prescribes it, however I do know people use the kitten strength stuff.
If you have a wooden coop then get some poultry shield.
also Diatomous earth is a must for dusting all coops to help prevent red mite - red mites feed on the girls overnight but do not live on the hen instead they crawl back into the nooks and crannies of the coop until the following night.
Get some purple spray - antiseptic and good for disguising any redness and also some wound powder in case one draws blood.
