blue pallets - are they safe
« on: May 04, 2008, 15:28 »
i've been offered 30 pallets but some have that blue stain one, is it safe to use the wood to make my hen house or even the chicken run.

Mum you should not use the pallets as they remain the property of CHEP, if you call 0161 872 8171 the company will collect FOC

Hope this helps

Really?? Is this a countrywide thing? I've been offered some before - I thought firms found them a nuisance to get rid of, you see pallets dumped around regularly.  Are the blue ones all the same company?

some blue ones belong to GKN I think and again they are on rental and should be returned (they are however very strong pallets  ;)). Whichever company they belong to should have their name printed on them.

Always good to check building sites and ask. They often put loads into skips! :)
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!!
