Fed up with my bananas going brown I looked for ways to keep them and found this:-
Always split the bunch to single ones and wrap the stalk at the top with cling film when they have become as ripe as you like them.  When you have wrapped the stalks place in the bottom of the 'fridge.
I am doing this and it does work.   Mrs Bouquet
