someone told me to dissolve 3 tablespoons of sugar in 3 tablespoons of vinegar add this to one litre of water, put it in a litre sized sprayer then add a tablespoon of washing up liquid.apparently it does for whitefly, greenfly and blackfly.i have'nt tried it myself but i am going to next season,i hope it works for you. :)
i dont suffer with insanity..........i enjoy every minute of it.

It seems to be a particularly bad year for them. Marigolds are supposed to repel them but my marigolds seem to be teeming with them as well. A good frost is usually what gets them in the end but we could still be waiting a few weeks...

Many thanks for the info - I will try this out as the soap only method had no effect other than making them nice and clean and well scrubbed up!!

In actual fact under these home made remedies are illegal but who cares!! hehe

thanks to the rest for their input/sympathy!

cheers
