Well... any reason why not?
I'm a lazy gardener and I've got a backlog of probably 50 or so dirty pots of various sizes. Plus my right hand's taped up so I can't get it wet.
I made the mistake of reusing dirty pots for my cucumber seeds this year - never again!

I would advise you to ask the lady of the house first and be prepared to unblock the dishwasher sump afterwards ::)
It's not designed for soil !
-
You see, that's the kind of useful advice I come here for!
The lady of the house is 200 miles away and wouldn't have found out until it's far too late ::)
-
I am the lady of the house and I rinse the pots of soil first and then stick them in the dishwasher or the microwave.
Don't think I will be doing the microwave again tho' as it left a grubby mark on the wall.
Mind you it could be where I put my wheatie bag in for too long and it started to smoulder.
I have to do all this when the man of the house is elsewhere as it is he who kicks up not me. ::)

I put them on the hot wash of the cycle. ::) Besides you've got to eat a peck of muck before you die
And I do give them a good wash before I put them in.

I have to say that I would never do it again as a small piece of grit found its way into the impeller housing and I had a leak which 'blew' the joints on my laminate floor (warped the housing but thankfully was able to order a new one and fit it myself). If you gave them a good rinse they should be fine but just bear it in mind...

Errr... No, sorry, I must be a bit fussier than you ;)
Remind me not to buy anything from your stall

In theory it sounds good; in reality, you'd best have your will and funeral insurance in order.
Whatever happened to a simple soaking in some water with bleach? Then a swish in a bowl of clear water? You did say only one hand was bandaged up, didn't you newsteve? ;)

I wouldn't be pleased but we don't have a dishwasher we have hands. ( I think we are the only people on the planet that dont have one) I don't actually like the way they clean and scratch glasses and I don't trust they do the job properly.
But I wouldn't want plant pots in them
-
I washed all mine on Sunday afternoon & there were loads,I wouldn't want them in the Dishwasher, they really don't need that level of cleaning do they. I do the hot water, sqibb of bleach & washing up liquid, scrub round & then rinse in a bucket of cold water. Seems quite adequate.

I wash my pots in the same way Snowy - just the thought of putting then in the dishwasher makes my stomach turn.
