Whats the size of your coop's and how many chickens do you keep, I'm now thinking about DIY again and think 4 x 4ft. 

I only keep 4 chooks, ex bats. My coop is 4x2. I made it from two sheets of ply, which included the nest box.

This is the coop / ark I bought 6 weeks ago. £50, really good quality and it states its suitable for 4 birds. (Although I only think 2 to be honest which is what I have)

Hi Urban, how do you get to the inside to clean it out?  Does the roof hinge or something?  Thanks

Well went out this morrning and got some timber made a start on a 4 x 4 x 4 ft coop.
It's just a box with a sloping roof at the moment, hoping to get the door on tomorrow. What size do I cut the pop hole? What size should I make the nest boxes? It's on legs 2ft high what about perches?

So far not including the screws I've spent £90 but that should be it apart from paint/stain and perches.
