Title: information on ducks pls

hi there ive got 4 chickens and have recently brought two ducks, male and female. they are only three weeks old. pls could anyone give me some information on them ie when can they go outside,  ??? when are they old enough to put something like a little pond for them in there run, what other stuff do they eat, and when will she start laying eggs?? as much info as possible pls. thanks  :nowink:

At three weeks they should be fine out in nice weather and I let mine have a little pond (cat litter tray) at this age and they love to splash about. They will still need to be indoors at night for a couple of weeks.

The only other suggestion I have  (for the moment, I can be a little opinionated!) is that next spring your girl might be a little overwhelmed by the attentions of the boy. Might be a good idea to get at least one more girl. Sure that will be a hardship!!!

They should be fine with a bit of supervision to begin with.
