Hi just wondered if anyone can tell me where I can rescue some battery hens from I live near Lichfield in Staffordshire.

I have already contacted the BHWT but they are fully booked till May.

Dunno, was asking the same thing last week for the same reason.  I did wonder about contacting a battery farmers direct but I doubt he woule give short shrift given the bad publicity of late.

You'll just have to be patient - but it will be worth the wait!

I totally agree with the other posters.  I had to wait 4 months before i collected my girls and they were really worth the wait.

It is a complete joy to see them scratching for the first time and my girls were all so friendly..they bent down to be stroked and fed out of my hand.

I would wait if i were you
