I nearly put "my plot" but thought better of it since DH does the majority of the digging.
End of March beginning of April pictures and comments Those pictures might be helpful to us later on when we get around to digging drainage properly... it's only that front bed that has the huge problems, luckily none of the beds we've cultivated and planted in are soggy.

Has anyone's potatoes shown up yet? We planted our's (earlies, Winston and Red Duke of York) on 23 March and nothing's shown up but weeds so far (or at least I hope those are weeds!   ).
wistfully hoping to one day be mostly organic gardener in North London.

Fantastic series of photos - glad to see that it's not just us with paddy fields!

As for potatoes - I haven't  even planted mine yet, was planning on Easter for that.

Typed with a large cat on my chest :)

That is funny you should mention teddies, as I was wondering what mine were doing yesterday. I got myself in a flap, so I dug one up, there were roots, but no top growth showing. I put it back carefully, as Iget a bit precious about my crops!
Peas out!

Now becky. watched kettles never boil! Leave them be and they'll pop up when you're not looking!

 Glad to know I'm not the only one that does that. I'm amazed my seeds ever come up sometimes! Wasn't too sure about my chili seeds but they've just started to come up now, about 3 weeks after I planted them. I'll just trust that my potatoes are also doing something underneath the ground. I did that to my shallots too.
