hi just got a legbar looking forward to blue/green eggs

we have one too, we got her at the same time/age as three other girls, she is by far the smallest and the only one not yet to lay- so no blue eggs for us!

I have three legbars and they do seem to take longer to come into lay...the last one didn't lay until she was 34 weeks!!!! worth the wait though, as beautiful green eggs much more vivid colour than the other two, who lay pale blue.

We hatched some cream legbar x silkie eggs last year that we bought from fleabay. Out of the 3 hens (and one cockerel) that hatched, one lays a pale blue egg, one lays a pale green egg and one lays a pale green egg with brown speckles. At least we are able to keep track of who's laying.
