Passing the end of my road on Friday. Several huge potholes that have been there for a couple of years were filled in a couple of days ago but there are still some big ones (and some proud iron works) where the course of the race takes a sharp left hand turn at a painted mini-roundabout (fortunately the forecast is for it to be dry). I plan to watch nearby, although not in what could easily turn out to be the run off area.
Pictures I took a couple of years ago when the race last passed this way popped up on FB a couple of days ago.

....and from today.
I won't feel as bad having to stand to get up that hill on my bike having seen many of the pros doing so today, although they were going a bit faster than I do  ::)
