Anyone use this at all? I rather fancy trying making socca flatbread or maybe pancakes.

Only problem is I can't get it locally. Could buy online, but I'm guessing postage would be a bit steep.

I'm in Henley, so Reading is local. Health food shops? Indian supermarkets?

The bag in my cupboard has been there a while ... can't remember why I bought it originally and it doesn't get used very often.

You should be able to get it from any of the big 4, certainly Trashco do it.

I use it to make onion bhajis - but try to get a small bag because it seems to have a short shelf life, well Tescos stock of it does 

It may be fresher from an Indian corner shop

Chickpea flour is found in Indian shops and some health food shops. It is also available from waitrose supermarkets and ocardo, they sell the dove farm brand.

It's called chickpea flour, or Besan or garbanzo depending on where you're shopping. You can get it everywhere. You're not looking properly   

Pakoras are the thing to make with it at the mo as there are so many veg available.

Morrisons do it too. Made some onion bhaji's with mine but loads left. Its getting a bit old though so I need to use it up. Courgettes sound pretty good and I could get rid of a few of those too.

Scribbler, all the large Tesco shops in Reading stock gram flour, as do all indian supermarkets.

Just be warned -- you need to add water slowly and beat like mad to make sure there are no dry lumps, or sieve it

If the Tesco in Henley does't have it - not sure they have a World Food aisle  - the one by Reading bridge certainly does.  It may be labelled Besan, but its the same thing

Sorry, not quite. I'm going to buy some online when I remember to get round to it as there are a few recipes, bhajis being high on the list, that I want to try.
