Title: New Member - with a question on pickling peppers
Post by: CStanden on November 14, 2011, 15:04
Hi, I've just joined as I am a keen vegetable grower and love trying out new ideas for the veggies I grow. I'm afraid I am already after some advice; I have made some pickled roasted home grown red peppers with garlic and when I have come to open the jar it appears that some of the pickling has solidified to jelly (not a lot but some). Is this normal and is this still okay to eat?  :( Thanks.

Hi and welcome! :D I'll move your question to the cooking, storing and preserving area where the pickling experts will see it. :)

Maybe an obvious question, but what did you pickle it in?
