Title: Heavy feather loss

one of my min buff sussex is having a very heavy moult, so much so every time she shakes or runs she looses so many feathers.
She has lost all her tail feathers and has got a bauld patch about two inches down her back.
She is still with the flock and is not been attacked, she is wormed and dusted once a month.
She is also having chicken spice and soon apple cider vinegar.
Where she does have a bauld patch her skin is clear and white so i am a bit confussed ? i inspect her feathers when she moults and she seems to have a bit of dandruff ! does that make sense ?

it could just be the stuff that protects the new feathers - when ours were moulting there was white stuff everywhere

Hi i too have a very bald chicken. She has been broody for the last month and refused to budge. She has now snapped out of this and is with the rest of the chickens. Today in particular she looks more like a chicken in Sainsburys!! She has lost so many feathers and looks so scaggy poor thing !!!

Having just been broody and now moulting you must ensure she gets enough food both the put any lost weight back on and to grow her new feathers.   I'd try to give her some extra protein to build both muscle and feather - Cat food is cheap and can be added to some moist warm mash  :D
