Girl or boy?

I told you just over a week ago my araucana laid her first blue\green egg and I was overjoyed.  So far she has laid three eggs in total.  This morning she is very noisy so no doubt will be laying another egg today, or so I think.  Whilst watching her through the window she just lifted up her head and cockadoodledood   So the question is, is she just a mixed up girl or a cockerel in disguise?  One very confused chicken and chicken owner
40 hens, 8 cockerels, 3 dogs, 2 rabbits, 8 chinchillas, 2 teenage daughters and O/H

I read somewhere that a previously laying hen can crow if she develops a cyst on her ovary which temporarily screws up her hormones. In fact there was one such hen burned at the stake for such 'witchcraft'!

sometimes, in the absence of a cockerel, the top hen can take on the role of a male and crow as yours has.
