One of my ex bats has taken to just sitting in a nest box during the day ( its her "roost" at night ) looking lethargic and tired. She looks as though she has started to moult also.
Comes out to eat and drink then back to the box
Is this normal ? or should I be worried .

Hi, I'm new to chickens so don't know much but one of my girls acted just the same and then started moulting. She looked and acted pretty strangely but after some advice on this site I bought some poultry spice and gave her that and it really picked her up. I also gave her small amounts of cat food as this is supposed to help too.
Hope it does the trick for you, anything is worth a try. :)

wheres she moulting from ??? !!!! All over  Feathers sticking out all over the place and when she shakes her self or flaps her wings its like a pillow fight with the case bust
OH tells me that she is a bit brighter today but still not bouncy, she is a curious wee thing and still comes for a stroke whenever we go in the hen house.
As for spoiling her ???? of course I do   Shes lovely .
Dont think shes broody though as it dosnt "feel" like that and she is not evading contact at all.
Ill try the spice or something similar and see what happens .
Would a picture help ??
