Using chicken poo to make liquid fertiliser
« on: May 30, 2010, 08:52 »
Hi Folks,

Not sure if this should be here or allotment pages so advanced apologies. I recently trawled through 'poo' and compost links to see how best to use our chicken poo on the allotment. I found a post from someone who said that they added it to water and after 6 weeks used it as liquid fertiliser (I know about adding to the compost heap).

My question is to anyone out there that has done this...how much poo do you add to how much water???  I have a plastic bin and have filled it with water and am adding the poo daily. I want it to be reasonable fertiliser although am obviously worried about killing the plants if I use it too concentrated :o)

Any help folks would, as always, be appreciated!

cheers
