just wondered how many eggs people were getting from their hens. last year we were doing well in late march. not so this year: from 4 hens i'm only getting one every other day. i keep meaning to check which are in lay, but haven't done it yet.
what about you?

We've 10 laying hens - mostly sussex of varying colours and 3 cream legbars - and are getting about around 5 per day. I've just put a note up at work to say I'll have the odd 1/2 doz available - but this is later than last year

I have three hens and mainly get 3 a day. Usually get only one or two days when I get 2 eggs.

i have 12 and im only geting 6 . i,v tolded them i will shake the paxso if thay dont start laying.:lol: :lol: :lol:

i think my girls are getting a bit old, but the last few days i've had an egg a day.

Sounds pretty good compared with the performance on Jimmy's Farm - what was it, 95 hens gave him 6 eggs one day? I got the distinct feeling he would have been well advised to buy a book on keeping chickens.

From my 8 hens I am getting a mininum of 6 each day but often get 7 (and 8 on odd occasions).

I have 4 ex bats, I get min 1 egg a day (enough for us) sometimes two and last night three. 1 chook Daisey is as regular as clockwork,, you can set your watch by her, Minnie is very strange, the other day she popped one out at 9.30! PM :ohmy: I would say on a weekly basis we get about a dozen on average.

We are getting 14/15 most days from around 20 layers- i say around 20 because im not sure which ex-batts are laying, and some are trying to go broody so really i have no idea who's laying :D

4 girls, one's sitting and we are averaging 2 eggs at the moment. It was 3 before the hot weather.

I have 20 of laying age (I don't think all the rescue ones are laying though) and I generally get 12 - 14 a day :)

I'm doing well at the moment - or should I say the girls are doing well. Darcey has stopped laying softies (feed change didn't agree with her) and I am back to 3 or 4 a day from 4 laying hens and 3 or 4 a day from 4 laying ducks :D

I have 5 girls, 1 hasn't ever laid, I get anywhere between 2 and 4 a day. It was 4 a day on a regular basis but in the last couple of weeks it has got a bit erratic.

4 eggs, 4 hens, 100%, the first time in over 15 months, are we happy, hopefully the end of poorly chucks

3 Lohmann Browns. 2 lay everyday & Little One every other day.
Keeps my family of 4 going :)

i have16 hens and get 10 or 12 a day

I have 10 ex batts now and average 4 eggs per day which is brillant considering what they have been through.

hi I have three ex battery hens, about 70 weeks old, had them less than a week, and we're getting around 2 eggs a day already. mind you, they are dropping them just anywhere at the minute.

Been worming the girls for the last 6 days with Flubenvet & increased their food.
"Little One" for a long time has only been laying every other day, but for the last couple of days she has laid each day & her egs have slightly increased in size.

I have 7 hens and have 6 eggs some days and 7 eggs others. Well pleased with my girls and they rewarded with 5* accommodation and looking after :happy: :happy: :happy:

got 6 ex-bats and getting 5 most days

I have 13 chooks of which 6 are ornamental (havent laid in ages) ex-bats and we get 5 or 6 eggs a day and the black rock has just gone broody ::). ive also got 5 ducks one being a boy and we average 3-4 eggs a day. :D
