Title: Meatballs .. is there a gadget to make them?
Post by: madcat on September 23, 2018, 09:14
There is loads of tomato sauce in the freezer and we do like meatballs with pasta and tomato sauce.  But I hate the fiddly job of making walnut sized meatballs.  Is there a gadget out there that you would recommend to make it a faster, neater and cleaner job - the lakeland burger press (other burger presses are available!) of meatballs if you like?

We have a red plastic hemispherical measure for 1 tbsp, if you scrape that over your mince mix you may get an acceptable ball.  Ice cream scoop too big I suspect?

Cheers,  Tony.

Probably work with the smallest size ice-cream scoop, or a melon baller?

My 1bspn measure has a flat bottom and does'nt work well, neither do two teaspoons - Just messy.  Ice cream scoops are too big really, but that baller from Amazon is going on my festival list!*  I tried looking there but cant have hit on the right term...  thank you muchly!   :) :) :) :)

* just to clarify, just 'cos its on the list doesn't mean I'm gonna wait that long!  It is just an excuse "Well, it is an advance on my ahemm presents you are going to give me dear!"
