It anyone is interested in carving up large roasting joint and freezing the slices, Trashco currently have rump/silver side beef and pork loin joints 2Kgs+ for 1/2 price.

I'll be grabbing a few joints to turn into cubes for curry, stews and pies.

They were importing a lot from the states but stopped when they found BSE in the cattle there. All that beef has got to go somewhere

The beef joint I have already in the freezer is Irish and the legs of lamb are from New Zeeland.

I stocked up on lamb at Easter, I don't see it on offer very often.

Don't Europe keep pigs in cages.. HRW and JO spoke alot about this. Would prefer English beef.

I saw a programme about pigs in the Netherlands (I think) being kept in compartments on slats. It is perfectly legal under EU law but I prefer the more comfortable welfare conditions in the UK.
