Looking for help with clubroot

Ive just discovered club root on part of my plot (i think). My plan was to use 3" peat pots next year and put  them in the ground in the pots. Would that be any good???
I'd stick with plastic pots since brassicas won't like (acidic) peat.  Peat pots have taken a bit of a slating in these forums anyhow.  It is reckoned that they dry out the compost too much.

Peat pots might have their uses for other plants which don't like the root disturbance being pulled out of a pot.  There are several techniques on these forums for folding newspaper into paper pots for the same purpose.

yeah I'm not all that impressed with them either  :?
they also have the disadvantage in that they come as a packed stack. if they get damp or wet in that configuration they meld into a peat thing that you may or probably may not seperate into individual pots if it's allowed to dry  :x

peat pots do best on capillary matting or sat in a tray with no holes.
feed the soil not the plants

Also on the subject, do you need to leave the ground for a while after liming and before planting the next brassicas? (to avoid clubroot)
