Thanks muntjac, I have now composed myself after the bad news.  I have also read the other newbie thread re club root.  I never thought that I would have disease on my plot when I took it on.  I shall buy clubroot resistant varieties next year and lime well.

Would you notice clubroot from any symptoms other than looking at the roots? Also thinking about brassicas - celeriac also planted.

This is what comes of never having seen veg like this actually growing!  I didn't know what to expect to see- what was a normal swede!  Anyway thank goodness I've got u lot.  And the technical know how to do pics.

Take no notice nastertium,my swedes look just like yours but without the clubroot bit,they taste delicious though and like superior swede not anaemic carrots!
