In this months Gardener's World mag they are offering 200 Spring bulbs which they say are for planting now - they are Anenomes coronaria; Chionodoxa forbesii; Muscari armeniacum; Tulipa tarda; Allium sphaerocephalon; Brodiaea ' Queen Fabiola.'  So presumably they are ok........

As these autumn planting bulbs(lot of them anyway) need dividing every so often, you might get a lot free from fellow gardeners at your site, may be

Dream on, Gobs    Fellow gardeners tend to share surplus leeks, toms and such but almost never spring bulbs as serious flower growers can never have too many

I'd be very happy to swop some gladioli cormlets with someone after I lift the bulbs - all of mine are purple flowering.

Just how big a garden have you got Tril, I bet times mine, but anyhow, I always have the no space too many pants scenario.
I mean plants, of course...

Wouldn't say that my garden is particularly large, but I know how to pack in plants well - probably comes from my pack ratting instinct    Flower bulbs fit in wherever there's a teeny space left. My mum figures I'd be better off fitting in more veggies instead, but the sight would be very bleak first thing in spring. however, I am thinking of replacing some decorative grasses with asparagus plants. Think it's safe to say that no sod is safe around me

Thanks, Tril, I'm gonna revise me fitting-in plants skills, but in the mean time I'm happy to give some away
