I am considering again a phone.   What about these Doro phones, are they any good.  What is a Doro Smart phone.  And who do I pay to operate it.  It's all greek to me, but I want to get an english one.    Mrs Bouquet

Hi MB. Sure I posted a reply yesterday but here it is again. Mine is a Doro 6030 that I use just for emergencies with a Tesco pay as you go card. As far as I know, they're the only ones who supply this type of card where you put, say, £10 on it then, as long as you make a call in a certain number of weeks, it remains operative. It's not a smartphone though so may not be what you want, however Doro phones seem to be relatively easy to use without all those bells and whistles that you don't want or need.

I’m still recommending an iPhone to you Mrs B to match your iPad, as I think you will find it easy to use as it is quite intuitive to use. Mine is with a £6 a month with giff gaff ,unlimited minutes & texts & enough internet for my needs each month
