.... I've seen what he eats/walks in / sniffs and licks, 

As pet lovers we often forget about these little pecadilloes    My dog can't resist rolling in poop piles of other dogs. URGH!!  When we go out we have to shut our bedroom door, otherwise we find her sound asleep on her back on our bed snoring up a storm.

oh Trills, surely the dog will get used to it? 

I must admit, I do feel a bit sorry for her sometimes
