Don't like to boast - but I've got four of them all full up!

I've got 4 but try to keep one free, to transfer the uncomposted stuff to when I turn them.  I find the middle composts a lot quicker than the edges.

well thats what i was thinking

ive just emptyed my 12ft long wooden heap and filled it with bark/mulch chippings, i will fill my second one when it comes and then order a third to empty the first into

thought it was pointless having a row of empty bins in the way when i can just get them as and when i need them

How do you turn compost in a dalek composter.  :?   I poked around with a fork once but it seemed difficult and I gave up.

I've got two big ones, by the way.

Best way is to turn it over, get the good stuff out the middle, and then pile the rest back in to cook a little longer.

But I did ask a serious question though.  Emptying and putting the contents into another one is not an option at the moment.  Will it be ok if I keep it watered and just leave it longer?  I draw the line at peeing into it, might fall off.

In that case I'd tip it out and fork it back in.

Sorry, can't find any double entendres in your last question :(

Don't know what a darlek is like, but gen just do along the lines, Sally says, pack it over.

I've got cheap council bins and built ones, with the former it' is lift off, reposition, repack and spice up.

Very similar with the rest, come apart , bit of lego..

Ice, you can just leave the contents inside undisturbed. It will take a bit longer to break down, but it will eventually be useable. Add some water from time to time, a bit of fresh manure tea or manure to keep it cooking, or just leave it for another year. Lots of options.
As for the dalek composters, I find it easier to simply pull the bin itself up over the contents, pull the contents away, place the bin back in its spot, then fill with the contents in a different order along with a bit of fresh poop or activator if poop isn't available. This cooks it even faster.
