Title: half round baskets and planting help
Post by: mrs bouquet on April 19, 2011, 08:53
I have planted 16" baskets with 8 balcony geraniums around the front.  I don't want any other type of bedding in them because of watering.  The back of the baskets are empty. Should I re-plant them putting some plants further back, (but if I do that won't the back ones trail over the front ones) or shall I put 1 upright at the back.  Or shall I just leave them as is.    Any advice will be appreciated.     Normally I plant all tubs and baskets up until I cannot get anything more in, but that is mixed bedding.  Thanks, Mrs Bouquet

Either way has it's merits. gap at the back = easy watering  plants crammed in will sort themselves out and smother any weeds.

Once they bush out I don't think you'll see the gap anyway, Mrs B  :)
