Title: Worming probs, please help
Post by: grinling on April 01, 2010, 20:17
A week ago I wormed all 6 chickens using Verm-X, could not get the other stuff as feed place no longer stock anything and this is all I could get. Wormed because Nugget (bantam) was very pale. She perked up for a couple of days, but now shaking head with mouth open. Suspecting gape worm, brought her home. Put small amount of mash and worm pellets. She has hardly eaten, but has now tried to escape over the barrier.
How many days should I continue this treatment for? Should I redo the other 5?
Thanks for reading.

Verm-X does not kill gape worm, get in touch with a vets and they either will have flubenvet in stock or can get it for you very quickly.

Take her to the vet and ask them to give her a dose of panacur (fenbendazole) It will act quite quickly and may save her life.
