Title: Tool Lock
Post by: allotmentvegigirl on April 27, 2008, 14:19
Hello
I have recently been given my first allotment, well half plot.  This means I will be sharing the shed with the owner of the other half.  As I have only met this guy to say Hello too I am a little unsure if I should lock up all my tools on my half of the shed when I’m not around.  Do you think this is a good idea? If so where can I get a tool hook that locks? Or any thing that will do the job?

I've never seen a lockable tool hook or rack.
does he lock his tools away? or just lock the shed door? it might be worth just asking him what he thinks is best, it could be the most "diplomatic" solution :D

Start off on the right foot, ask that if he uses your tools then he puts them back in the shed when he's finished. You could drill a hole in everything and put a chain though them all but that seems a bit OTT. Im sure there will be something you will need to use that he has at some point.
