Hello saw these carrots tipped in a field near M62 next field they were 4 feet deep couldnt get pics of them as they were harvesting next to the piles,they're washed but to big and have cracks in them jezza

They often get sold as horse carrots when the supermarkets don't want them.

I heard that the farmers cover them with straw to keep them safe until Tesco demand a delivery...
I love carrots, and am still amazed at how many are always on the shelves in the supermarkets!

It amazes me that a lot of people demand perfectly-shaped veg. Why??? To throw away odd-shaped ones is absolutely stupid when there are people desperate for food in this country.

Hello those carrots are processed they're too big and have cracks in them for marketing in stead of sending them for dicing he sooner tip them on the fields ,the farmer will be covering some for winter jezza
