Title: Greetings from a novice
Post by: GeordieCabbage on July 13, 2018, 09:00
Hi guys, first time on one of these forums so hope I do not make a public fool of myself. I have only a basic knowledge of allotments, but always wanted one and  after a 5 year wait eventually got a local authority plot 2 years ago in the North East of England, couple of miles from the coast. Basically I wanted to introduce myself and ask which part of the forum I go to for advice on trying to curb horsetail/marestail, and how best to improve my soil? Thanks.

Hi and welcome  :D

Your questions all sound like the sort of stuff we discuss in the Grow Your Own bit of the forum - link here

Grow Your Own - Page 1 of 1278 (http://chat.allotment-garden.org/index.php?board=1.0)

There are also loads of articles the site owner John has published on the main site and this lot might be a good staring point  :)

Composts, Fertiliser, Soil Improvers and Improvement (http://www.allotment-garden.org/composts-fertilisers/)
