Title: Pig suncream ?
Post by: kawajj on May 19, 2014, 17:46
Hello all  :D

I am new here and also fairly new to pig keeping as ive only ever had my hens.. anyway what is everyones view on using suncream on pigs ?
I have conflicting advice from a couple of people saying 'yes i can use high factor kids cream' and 'no i can only use horse suncream'

Thanks in advance

I didn't know they had a special 'horse' suncream, we've only ever used what ever sun cream we had to hand on Turks nose as he is rather prone to sun burn.  I don't know anything about pigs though!

Ahh right ok ,,

So if you are using normal " human " suncream on a horse and not had a problem then i assume its safe to say it would be ok for pigs.
Is it just another ploy to charge more for " animal " suncream or i wonder is there some difference in ingredients.
