If anyone has questions about  show growing - Dave's your chap. His sideboard is full of his medals and prizes!

He's also got a wealth of knowledge about growing for table.

Hi Dave,
Welcome. I'm a newbie here myself. I'd be interested in hearing about the Society. I'm new to vegetable growing but would be interested to hear about exhibiting (for the future if I ever get good enough at growing the veg).

And yet another shameless plug for the NVS Website (http://www.nvsul.org.uk/) by yours truly.

I think it will give you a good flavour of the society. I'm the secretary of our local district association and we've had speakers on all sorts of topics. As a table grower, I'm not going to spend the time and trouble that champion show growers do but I've not attended a meeting yet without picking up a tip.

The speakers always answer 'newbie' questions with patience and tolerance plus you can chat with other growers who share your passion.
