Hi All,

Just wondering how often you all water your seeds in a cold greenhouse.?

Does the compost need to be wettish or dryish.

Sorry if the question sounds stupid but i want to get it right and not over or under water.

The compost needs to be damp.  I don't water as a routine I just do it as and when necessary.

Don't over water  'cause they may 'dampen  off and it is easy give them another drop, if they get too wet however the damage is done.Try talking to each lot of seedlings, as they have different needs, and watch different composts as some dry out much quicker than others. Good luck , enjoy

I like to water from underneath by placing the tray/pot/modules in a shallow tray of water.

A good tip if in pots, lift the pot, if it feels heavy and is moist on top, don't water, if its light then water. Another good one is, stick your finger in (if there is room), says it all that one. Try not  to over water, damping off disease can wipe out your whole crop in enclosed spaces.
Just keep the soil around seedling moist, not wet and don't dry out. They are quite hardy things all being said.
