smells lovely and taste nice but the only bit that bugs me is it is very very sweet  :?

You can always add to, but you cannot take it out.  I am always very cagey about a new recipe, but i can always add more at the end.  Ta.  Mrs Bouquet

Another addict.  We've made over 70 jars this year.  I'm going to go home and eat some.

There's something so primally reassuring about seeing all the jars line up full of chutney and jam.  Sort of assurance that we'll have something to eat in the dark mid-winter.

Mrs B, what jars do you use for all your chutney.

Are they just saved jars, or have you got a stash of special preserving ones?

I wanted some 'proper' ones but was put off by the price :cry:

Don't know what Mrs B uses but, if you're in France at all, all the supermarkets do packs of Parfait preserving jars at about a quarter of the price here. Also sell the packs of the preseving rings as well. We've picked up loads.
