Mine is the 1 & 3/4 pint version (thanks mum!). It takes about 5-10 mins on a cold January day to reach full boil with cold water - its quicker obviously when re-heating the water.

I tried allsorts in it, willow leaves grass, twigs, finely splintered pallet etc but now I just use scrunched up newspaper - a dozen sheets does a full boil.

I'm impressed - it beats using blow torch size gas cannisters at 2 quid a pop.

They are great aren't they AMC? We sell 'em in our shop and I've used them on a few of our canoe trips and bushcraft courses, they are just the job for a quick and easy brew!

We done an experiment with our forest schools and with a nice fire burning they can boil from cold in 2 mins i might have to borrow one from work for the parents when there down the plot. Hahahah what a great idea AMC.
