If this has been discussed before I apologise, but please can I make a plea on behalf of caged animals, e.g. rabbits, guinea pigs etc, in this hot weather.

Make sure that their hutches are in the shade and, something very much appreciated is a plastic bottle of water which has been frozen.  Place it in the cage and the cold air helps greatly.  We keep a couple in the freezer to replace the one being used when it is half thawed.
