A sliced tomato and sliced hard boiled egg sandwich with prawn cocktail sauce.

Well, that wasn't a good start, I read that as " baked beans ON fruit crumble" - That would be VERY wrong

My family think I'm mad because when I eat hot food, pie, casseroles etc  I often have salad on the side, rather than the 'usual' veg. Just something I've carried on after the years I lived in Greece....

Similar...
I will have a salad and pie, but then pour gravy on!
Salad with battered fish, oh and gravy on.
Salad n scampi, and a pot of...... gravy.

To be honest gravy is served with everything, butty and a pot of dipping gravy, reeyt gradely food

General Gardening / Re: my pond
« Last post by pepsi100 on Yesterday at 20:01 »
I looked in my pod this morning, I can’t actually see the bottom of the pond and the fish swimming around
So it looks like these swan mussels have done a great job
I’m hoping they survive the winter
My pond if 4feet deep, the fish go down to the bottom in winter, I guess it’s a few degrees warmer down there

Im  going try and do some cuttings over the weekend (just going to call them plants😊)
I’m not sure what vitamin C is going to help though, but maybe it will help
If they do take, my missus will be well happy❤️

Whoa, I never wanted to cause an argument, all I want to ask was how do I cut these plants back, I didnt know what there were
Now I have 3 names to choose from
It doesnt really matter what their names are, just as ling as the wife likes them and I can keep them alive during the winter
(I'll bring them into the conservatory, just to be on the safe side)

Not an argument, probably more like different names in different places. Example, what you call courgettes over there and we call summer squash over here.  Same for gammon vs. ham (gammon would draw a blank here), or mangetout vs. snow or snap peas.
